Silly Girls In A Tree

Before Ramsey's birthday party, Uncle Geoff took some pictures of Ramsey to try and get a good headshot of her. A nearby tree was too much of a distraction for these silly girls. They were having so much fun that Uncle Geoff had to get a picture. Photographed with Ramsey is her cousin, Anna Grace and her friend from church, Summer.

Happy 4th Birthday Ramsey Kristine!

Today we celebrated Ramsey's 4th birthday. She opened her present from Mommy and Daddy this morning (a Nintendo DS and games) and said "Wow! Mom, you did a wonderful job getting this TDS!" She also loved her birthday cards with Hannah Montana singing when you open them. Bryant has carried those cards around all day listening to them. She had a rock star/karaoke party this afternoon and we had a really good time. I'll have pictures posted soon from the party.

Bye Bye Bottles and Pull-Ups

We've hit two big milestones this week with the kids. Bryant is now totally off of the bottle. He's been off for awhile except at bedtime. He had two really late nights this past weekend which allowed us to put him straight to bed without a bottle. So far, he's gone to bed every night this week without one as well. We hope it continues. Ramsey was completely off the bottle at one year but Bryant has held on to it a little longer.

We told Ramsey that we would like for her to be able to sleep all night in her big girl panties by the time she turned four years old. Her birthday is this Saturday and she asked us if she could try it one night this week. As of today, she's gone several nights without wetting her bed. Hopefully she's done with pull-ups forever. She's been napping at daycare without them for almost a year now but hasn't been able to go all night before now.

Our babies are growing up!

Hippity Hop Scotch, Hit The Ball

Ramsey told me that she had a new game that no one had played but her. It's called Hippity Hop Scotch, Hit The Ball. First you chant Hop Scotch, Hop Scotch, Hop Scotch and then whoever hops to the 1 wins!
(Don't ask me when you hit the ball.)

Caroline's (Rosie) Birthday

Caroline's Birthday

Today we went to Caroline's 2nd Birthday party. It was so much fun. Ramsey and Bryant enjoyed playing in the balls, sliding down the slide, jumping and playing with all of their cousins. Rosie was as pretty as ever and she blew her candles out like a big girl.
After the birthday party, we went to Daren and Andrea's house to watch the Super Bowl Game and let the kids play with Haley.
Bryant went to bed tonight for the second night in a row without a bottle. Let's hope the trend continues. He's also been sleeping better at night and actually slept until 10 Am on Saturday morning. I couldn't believe it!
It's been a long weekend. Scott and Ramsey went to Trussville on Saturday to help Geoff and Kristy with the baby's nursery. Hopefully their little one will be born soon in Taiwan so we can all see her and start preparing for her to come home. BB, Kit and Bryant and I went over to meet them and we all went out to eat dinner at The Olive Garden. It was yummy.
Just when we thought all the sickness was over for awhile, Ramsey started running a temperature again tonight. I hope her strep throat is not coming back. Hopefully it's just a cold.
It's been a busy weekend and now it's time to prepare for Ramsey's 4th Birthday next weekend!

Now Bryant Is Sick!

I took Bryant to the doctor today for his 15 month check up (at almost 17 months) and found out he has bronchitis. He got a shot and has to do breathing treatments every six hours. Here's a picture of his first breathing treatment. He sat there and helped Scott hold the mask. About halfway through the treatment, he got tired and ready to stop. The albuterol seems to have hyped him up because he's been running around the house wide open even though it's two hours past his bedtime.

Abby's Birthday

Today was Ramsey's friend Abby's 4th Birthday party at The Party Playstation in Oxford. Ramsey and Bryant both enjoyed jumping and sliding. Ramsey and Abby have been together at daycare since they were babies.
With her tickets from the arcade, Ramsey picked out a bouncy ball and a whoopie cushion. She has been blowing it up and sitting on it all night since we got home from the party. She gets so tickled every time she sits on it. We overheard her telling Bryant that it was her new toy called the "pootie poot 3000!"

Strep, Strep and More Strep

I took Ramsey to the doctor today and she had a positive strep test. Bryant had it two weeks ago and it seems to be going through the daycare. They thought I had strep two weeks ago too, but I ended up having Mono. Needless to say, we are tired of this sickness and hope to all be better soon. Keep your fingers crossed that Scott stays healthy.
Ramsey saw Dr. Mark and had to get a shot. When she woke up from her nap she said that Dr. Mark was her favorite cousin but that she still didn't like shots.
She's been complaining with her knees hurting (I think she means her legs ache) and told me that they hurt so bad that she couldn't criss-cross applesauce. That must be what they say when they sit with their legs crossed at daycare.
Hopefully she can return to daycare on Thursday so I can return to work.

Last night was very interesting. The daycare called me around four to tell me that Bryant fell and hit his head on the wall. He had a nice goose egg on the top of his head. On my way to pick up the kids it was snowing like crazy but by the time they came outside it had stopped. Ramsey was very disappointed. She complained of a headache all the way home and had a temperature of 101.5 when I checked it. While we were trying to make her feel better and cook supper, Bryant fell again and busted his nose. Both children were crying and supper was burning on the stove. It was a fun night!

After taking tylenol, Ramsey felt a little better. We played dress up and took pictures for her birthday party invitation. She is having a rock star sing-a-long party. It's going to be a lot of fun.

Ramsey's lullaby to Bryant

Last night when I was putting Bryant to bed, Ramsey came in and wanted to sing him a lullaby like she does most nights. She loves to make up songs to sing to him. Here is the one she sang to him last night:

Rockabye baby Bryant
My sweetheart Alabama
I'll see you in the morning
Rockabye my baby
The end

(We heard Sweet Home Alabama on the radio on our way home from dinner last night. I thought she was watching her movie but she must have been listening to the music on the radio to have come up with that second line.)

Princess Ramsey's Photo Shoot

January 12, 2009

Ramsey enjoyed playing princess this evening. She dressed up and did a photo shoot for us. It was hard to get a good shot of her since she was busy waving her magic wand.
Bryant went to bed early tonight after his bath and did not get to participate in the photo shoot.

Today we enjoyed a lazy day at home. Bryant and I are getting over strep so it was nice to not have anything to have to do. When Scott got home from work at the hospital, Ramsey and I met Becky, Connor, Rose and Rebecca at O'Charley's for a late lunch.

Bryant was playing with the doctor's kit this afternoon and I snapped a picture of him.

Ramsey showed off her new boots.

It is raining so hard tonight. I think if it rains any more that we are going to have to think about building an ark next to our house. If you see Scott wearing a robe and growing a beard, you'll know that we've gone ahead with the ark.

Ramsey's solo from Church

Here is the video from Ramsey's first solo at church. We were so proud of her. Now she wants to sing all the time especially if a microphone is involved.
